A 5* Luxury Shepherd's Hut retreat in Somerset

Brewers Hut is a new luxury Shepherd's Hut hand built by Greenhill Huts and completed to a very high specification. The inside of the Shepherd’s Hut feels beautifully calm and inviting. The space combines cosy charm with modern comfort. The artwork on the wall adds a homely touch (made by Wendy) making it feel like the ideal retreat — light and modern, but with all the snug character you’d expect from a rural Shepherd’s Hut,features include:

Light and Bright:

The curved white tongue-and-groove ceiling and walls create an airy, fresh atmosphere, making the hut feel spacious while still snug. Soft Tones: Muted sage-green, soft close cabinetry pairs perfectly with a premium natural stone worktop. The underfloor heated solid oak wood flooring adds warmth and gives a natural, countryside feel.

Living Area:

A soft grey sofa with plush cushions offers a perfect little nook to curl up in. Above, warm wall sconces cast a gentle glow, adding to the cosy ambience.

Kitchen:

Compact but stylish, the kitchen area tucks neatly into the corner with soft-close shaker-style cupboards and a sleek sink. A luxurious quartz worktop blends practicality with charm. A full size fridge, microwave and two ring hob together with a Smeg kettle and toaster are provided. Guests will be provided with breakfast produce for their first morning.

Bedroom:

Through the curved partition, you can glimpse the inviting comfortable double bed dressed in soft fine linen, promising restful nights. A wardrobe is provided, together with dressing gowns and slippers adding a touch of luxury and comfort.

Ensuite:

The shower room is fresh, spacious, and modern. It is thoughtfully designed for comfort complete with premium brand Molton Brown toiletries. A generous glass-fronted shower with sleek chrome fittings supplied by Waterbury Bathroom Accessories is set against elegant marble-effect panels, bringing another touch of luxury. A neat vanity unit with lighting, together with wash basin provides space for essentials, and is complimented by a modern soft close toilet and heated towel rail.

Hot Tub:

Additional high quality, fluffy bath towels are provided for use after your dip in our Hikki log fired hot tub.

Fire Pit:

Whilst drying off from the hot tub, you are encouraged to pop your dressing gown on to keep warm and watch the stars. Maybe toast some marshmallows over the flames and enjoy a lovely glass of wine.

Guests at Brewers Hut have exclusive use of the outside amenities in their own private area. This includes a bistro style table/chairs on the balcony, plus a seating area by the fire pit. A Hikki wood fired hot tub provides an opportunity to enjoy a cold glass of wine and take in the charming view of the upper paddock, the Blackdown Hills and rolling countryside beyond. Upon arrival guests will enter the driveway through private electric gates and will park in their own designated area close to the Hut.

Your host Wendy will welcome you upon arrival, showing you around. You will have your own key to the property and a Welcome Information folder is available for you to refer to. If you need anything during your stay, it is never a problem to message Wendy or knock on her door situated in the main house next to the Hut.

Due to the fact we are located in the Blackdown Hills (AONB) there is no local public transport, so a car is essential. If you are a keen walker or cyclist, there are hiking and cycling routes in the area. Nearest public houses for food and beverages are 2.0 miles away.  For a day out, coastal locations are approximately 40 minutes away.

Whilst located in a quiet, rural setting, Brewers Hut is close to the M5 (Jct 26). The nearest restaurants, take-away, retail and High Street shops are based locally, in Wellington (3 miles away), or Taunton (6 miles away).
